On the classical stability of U(1)A domain walls in dense matter QCD
It was recently shown [1] that there exists metastable U(1)A domain wall configurations in high-density QCD (μ ≫ 1 GeV ). In the following we will assess the stability of such non-trivial field configurations at intermediate densities (μ < 1 GeV ). The existence of such configurations at intermediate densities could have interesting consequences for the physics of neutron stars where such densi...
متن کاملDense Hadronic Matter in Holographic QCD
We provide a method to study hadronic matter at finite density in the context of the Sakai-Sugimoto model. We introduce the baryon chemical potential through the external U(1)v in the induced (DBI plus CS) action on the D8-probe-brane, where baryons are skyrmions. Vector dominance is manifest at finite density. We derive the baryon density effect on the energy density, the dispersion relations ...
متن کاملInstanton interactions in dense - matter QCD
A Coulomb gas representation of dense-matter QCD is derived from a dual transformation of the low-energy effective Lagrangian. The point-like charges Q = ±1 of the gas are identified with the instantons and anti-instantons of such topological charges. An instanton repels another instanton with the same force as it attracts an anti-instanton, in contrast to the semiclassical interaction.
متن کاملMulti fluidity and Solitary wave stability in cold quark matter: core of dense astrophysical objects
Considering the magneto-hydrodynamic equations in a non-relativistic multi uid framework, we study the behavior of small amplitude perturbations in cold quark matter. Magneto-hydrodynamic equations, along with a suitable equation of state for the cold quark matter, are expanded using the reductive perturbation method. It is shown that in small amplitude approximation, such a medium should be co...
متن کاملQCD Properties of Hot/Dense Matter
In the introduction, we will discuss the symmetries of QCD, its breaking in the physical vacuum and its restoration at finite temperature and/or density. Then we will discuss what exact relations can be made between chiral symmetry restoration and the imaginary part of the vector vector correlation function, which is directly related to the dilepton spectrum coming from a hot and/or dense mediu...
